Hosting
To host is to give yourself the opportunity to help, by fully embracing your humanity.
In September 2017, faced with the emergency at Maximilien Park, a call was launched to citizens : “Host 1, 2, 3 people for 1, 2, 3 nights.”
Women, children, the elderly, and vulnerable people were given priority. Very quickly, the mobilization grew so strong that hundreds of young and older men were also sheltered in families.
As the months passed, hosting evolved. Some hosts became sponsors and mentors to their guests, accompanying them in their administrative procedures. Others organized themselves into relay families or long-term hosts. Local dynamics emerged and took shape around hosting, collections, transportation, and support.
Hosting has given rise to stories, memories, encounters, discoveries — and to the life-giving feeling of opening oneself to the other, to the unknown, while appreciating what unites us.

Hosting families and women with children
Today, many families and women with children unfortunately remain without any housing solution. They are welcomed into citizens’ homes for a few days.
